Finish work early and celebrate the end of the year aboard The Red Boats Weekday Christmas Party Cruise.

This special three-hour private Auckland Harbour cruise is designed for work Christmas parties, staff functions, corporate celebrations and end-of-year team events.

Your group receives exclusive use of a spacious two-level party boat while cruising the sheltered waters of Auckland’s Waitemata Harbour.

Your package includes:

• Exclusive use of the vessel for three hours

Weekday sailing times

The Weekday Christmas Party Cruise normally operates Monday to Wednesday from mid-November until Christmas.

Available three-hour cruise times may include:

• 11:00am to 2:00pm
• 3:00pm to 6:00pm
• 7:00pm to 10:00pm

Availability is limited during the Christmas season. Check the online booking calendar for current dates and departure times.

Food requirements

Food is not included in the standard Weekday Christmas Party Cruise package.

Guests are welcome to bring their own food at no additional charge.

As a condition of our onboard bar licence, a good quantity of substantial food must be provided for all guests. Small bowls of chips or light snacks alone are not sufficient.

If bringing your own food, please also bring any plates, cutlery, serving dishes and utensils required.

Onboard catering menus are available at an additional cost and must be arranged in advance. Catering options may include grazing tables, substantial party food and catered buffet menus.

Please advise the Charters Department of any dietary requirements when arranging catering.

Bubbles on arrival

A glass of bubbles is provided to guests on arrival as part of the package.

A suitable non-alcoholic alternative is available for guests who do not drink alcohol.

Guests who appear to be under 25 may be asked to show an approved current form of photo identification before receiving or purchasing alcohol.

Licensed onboard bar

The vessel has a fully licensed bar selling beer, wine, ready-to-drink beverages, spirits, soft drinks and juice.

Guests cannot bring their own alcohol onboard. BYO alcohol is not permitted.

The included 200-dollar bar tab can be used toward drinks purchased from the onboard bar. Additional drinks can be purchased once the included bar tab has been used.

A larger bar tab can be arranged in advance through the Charters Department.

Music, disco lighting and entertainment

Connect your playlist to the professional onboard sound system and enjoy the vessel’s disco and party lighting.

Groups may arrange a DJ or other entertainment, subject to prior approval and available space.

The cruise is designed as a private Christmas party and social experience. Live sightseeing commentary is not normally provided.

Christmas decorations

The vessel will be decorated for Christmas as part of the package.

Guests may bring additional suitable decorations, subject to approval and safety requirements.

Please do not bring confetti, glitter or decorations that could damage the vessel or enter the harbour. Decorations must not block stairs, exits, safety equipment or crew access.

Cruising area

The cruise normally travels through the calm, sheltered waters of Auckland’s inner Waitemata Harbour.

Depending on weather and harbour conditions, views may include:

• Auckland city skyline and Sky Tower
• Auckland Harbour Bridge
• Westhaven Marina
• Viaduct Harbour
• Devonport waterfront
• Auckland’s bays, marinas and waterfront homes

The exact route is selected by the skipper and may change depending on weather, harbour traffic, vessel movements and safety requirements.

Please ensure everyone in your group arrives at least 15 minutes before the scheduled departure time.

The charter operates for the booked three-hour period. A late group may lose cruising time because the vessel must return at the scheduled finishing time.

Parking at Westhaven Marina

Paid pay-by-plate parking is available near Z Pier. Park only in white-line public spaces. Red-line spaces are reserved for permit holders.

Parking rates and restrictions can change, so please follow the current signs and allow additional time to find a parking space.

Weather, safety and conduct

The Weekday Christmas Party Cruise operates subject to suitable weather, harbour and operational conditions.

The skipper has final responsibility for the safety of the vessel and everyone onboard. The route or operation may be changed when required for safety.

Normal host-responsibility and liquor-licensing requirements apply throughout the cruise. Alcohol service may be restricted or stopped if required. Intoxicated guests may be refused boarding or service.

If The Red Boats cancels or changes a charter, the person who made the booking will be contacted using the phone number and email address supplied with the booking.
